Up for sale is Bertha, my pickup truck. I have owned this truck since 2006 and have put approximately 100,000 miles on it since then-I drive a lot. We will start with what is wrong with the truck: the hinges on the tail-gait have rusted off, you can still open and close the tail-gait and it will stay closed but takes a little muscle to use it; the blower motor does not always want to work, a little smack on the housing will make it come on; the high beam headlights do not come on, I suspect a bad switch; the biggest issue is some of the body mounts have decayed, one mount under the cab and possibly one under the bed are gone, I assume this is not hard to fix but I am not a body man! It leaks power steering fluid from the pitman shaft seal. The truck was originally white and received a red paint job by the prior owner. Some of the paint has decided to not stick around. In addition, my lovely wife launched a rock at the driver's door chipping off the paint and making a dent about the size of a baseball. There is also a fairly decent scratch/dent on the bed from where a dumpster hit it. As for the interior, there is a crater in the driver side of the seat-see picture. The springs are not coming through but it is not pretty. The interior is rather dirty but it was used as a work truck. There is some rust on the bottom of the doors and some surface rust on the corners of the fenders. Here is the good stuff: the truck starts right up and runs well. In the last 2 years, I have replaced the exhaust, the transmission/transfer case was rebuilt last spring, a new clutch put in 1 yr ago, the fuel tank and pump are 2 yrs old, the alternator, battery, and water pump are less than 1 yr old; the oil pan was replaced 2yrs ago. The tires are in decent shape. The right rear tire is 1 yr old and does not exactly match the rest. This truck has been reliable but I have decided to move up in life and buy a newer and smaller truck. This truck should give someone many years of good service. As always, sold as is.
