Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1971 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible. It was bought by my grandfather in 1997 at an estate auction. Drove lightly through the years and entered in a few car shows, and drove in parades. It was drove into a garage in 2004 and no one has drove it since. The car was in perfect running condition when drove last and last week we hooked a battery up to it and it turned over, but didn't start. My grandfather said that it wouldn't take much to get it running just needs to be drivin since it hasn't been started in 6 years. I believe that 1971 was the first year that they came out with the Corniche, and the car is in good condition as you can see from the pictures, and I believe pretty rare. There is a dint on the drivers side front fender as you can see in the picture and broken light from where it was hit while in the garage. He has 4 volumes of shop manuals that will go with the can that tell u everything from pulling the engine out of the car to replacing a headlight. My grandfather just turned 84 and has decided that it needs to go to someone that can get some use out of it. We don't have any idea what the car is worth in the condition that it is in and if it doesn't meet the reserve we will still consider selling for that price. If you have any questions about that car please e-mail "preferred" or call Brent at 660-254-2118. If you do call i will have to take down the information that you would like to know ask my grandfather and call you back because he can not hear very well. It is a great looking and fun car to drive. On Oct-05-10 at 10:39:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recieved many calls with people offering me a price to sell the car before the auction ends.. My grandfather is entertaining the idea and if this item is off before the end date it will mean it was sold... Sorry for any inconvience. On Oct-05-10 at 12:49:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Anyone who wishes to buy the car that is out of the united states will be required to contact me first to be approved for bidding. We are setting up a seperate account for a wire transfer, and you will be required to provide name, address, bank the wire transfer is comming from, ect. Sorry for the inconvience but this is to protect ourselves from wire transfer scams. Thanks BrentOn Oct-06-10 at 12:00:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I had some time today and hooked up a battery to the car to see what all works, and as far as i can tell everything electrical is in good shape. The Convertible Top folded down, all headlight, tail light, and turning signals worked, and the instrument bezel lights worked. When I turned the car on i noticed that it has a break in the gas line comming from the fuel pump to the engine. This is probably the reason that my grandfather could not get the car started. On Oct-13-10 at 19:29:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Anyone wanting a question answered tomorrow will need to call me and not e-mail as I will not be around a computer during the day. I will check it once in the morning around 8. 660-254-2118 Thanks Brent
