Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my spare car. It's a 1990 Volvo 740 with 263k on it. It's a 4 cyl. with manual transmission. These engines are supposed to be pretty solid. It was my daily driver until January of this year when I got a slightly nicer vehicle and just used this one as a backup. The vehicle needs a radiator and the fluid lines to the rack and pinion steering are leaking. Lots of great parts on this car if you're interested in that or you can fix and drive. The tires are in good shape, it's got a new battery as of last year, new alternator, plugs/wires have been done sometime in the last year or two. Heat works, AC worked last year, assume it needs to be recharged. I recharged last year and it was fine all summer, I think it leaks during the winter because when they filled it last summer, they couldn't find a leak. Since I had a different daily driver this summer, I didn't recharge. New thermostat and the heat works well. Locks work, windows work. Basically a car that doesn't need much and is reliable. My dad purchased this car from a lawyer in Iowa City about 5 years ago if I recall correctly. I purchased it from my dad 3 years ago. I've had regular oil changed at 3-4k. I was about to replace the radiator when my mechanic put the car on the lift and noticed the lines to the power steering apparently just started leaking. The power steering reservoir isn't empty yet so it hasn't been leaking long. I would have repaired the radiator no problem but I just don't want to fix both things at once considering I rarely use the vehicle anymore. I know the car isn't worth much anymore, I just hate to see something with a good running engine and transmission go to the junk yard. Email any questions, I should answer pretty quickly even evenings or weekends. On Oct-08-10 at 08:19:13 PDT, seller added the following information: To clear up a few questions: the radiator is in the the car, part of the plastic coupling where the main coolant line connects broke off. There's still probably about 3/4" of coupling that the hose can be clamped to. That's how it's currently connected. My mechanic says it's a temporary fix because the hose will probably work itself off at some point. The actual radiator doesn't have any leaks. The power steering is leaking pretty good. My mechanic says to safely drive the car without running out of power steering fluid and running the risk of burning up the power steering pump, the belt that drives the power steering should be disconnected. That would mean the car wouldn't have power steering until the rack and pinion could be replaced.
