Because of previously attempted fraud, I'm relisting this item. Beautiful silver 1991 Oldsmobile Silhouette. Six-passenger seating (rear 4 removable one at a time if desired). All the usual accessories you'd expect in a luxury Olds—A/C, tilt wheel, cruise, power steering, brakes, windows, mirrors, 6-way driver's seat, rear electronic air compressor, (load leveler), comes with a long hose and gauge to inflate tires, beach balls, air mattresses. You got cold weather, it has an in-block engine heater--plug it in at nite and the engine purrs in the morning. OEM adjustable roof luggage rack and mag-type wheels. AM/FM cassette stereo will almost blast you out of the van. This was the luxury GM mini-van of its day. This van was previously owned by a mechanic who overhauled the top of the engine, including installing a new $225 alternator. Engine runs so quietly, it’s barely noticeable. Notice in the pic, it idles 700-800 rpm and oil pressure is over 40 lbs at 60 mph when hot. We just drove this on a 900 mile trip, 70 mph (where possible) running the AC, got over 21 mpg, burned NO oil. ZERO OIL! I was surprised, but it’s true. You get the original Owner’s Manual AND a box of receipts from the Previous Owner, dating from 1998 that go with the car. This is truly a one-of-a-kind car. Why are we selling it? Bought it for my wife to haul her friends, but she decided she prefers her Fiero and let her friends drive. Our loss is your gain. The bad? Well, no 19 year-old car is perfect. As you can see from the pic, driver’s seat has wear, other seats and carpet need a good cleaning. Tho it cools, AC could use a charge, interior mirror just flat fell off and I haven’t taken the time to glue it back and there are various insignificant nicks in the paint. The ‘low fuel’ light stays on no matter how much gas but the needle is accurate. Two new window motors installed in the front doors. When these vans came out in 1990, people joked about them looking like a 'dustbuster'. But it was the sleekest, most modern-looking van on the road. So if YOU love a “Space Age” looking car, THIS IS YOUR CAR!! I feel confident that this car may be driven anywhere (on highways) within the US, so you can save the e-mails. I have tried to describe it completely and honestly. If I missed anything of consequence, I apologize but it was not intentional and therefore cannot be used as a reason NOT to accept the car after you win the auction. This is a 19 year-old car. It has “character marks” and a personality, like any 19 year-old car. But in my opinion, is in MUCH better condition than the average 19 year-old car. And fewer than 10k miles per year. Now for the nitty gritty. Please remember, this is an AUCTION to BUY the car, not to INSPECT it. When you win, IT IS YOURS. The only other aspect is—YOU PAY FOR IT. If you live near San Antonio, I urge you to see it because I think you’ll be as sold on the car as I am. Payment will be as follows: $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, overnight by USPS, FEDEX or UPS. Overnight means exactly what it says. If you don’t have $500 to send overnight (as in IMMEDIATELY!) DO NOT BID! This payment will be in the form of USPS MONEY ORDER ONLY! That means NO CHECKS, NO PAYPAL, NO OTHER MONEY ORDERS (no Walmart, 7-11, etc.) and NO CASHIER’S CHECKS FROM NIGERIAN BANKS (or any other banks, for that matter). And if you have fewer than 5 positive feedback, contact me BEFORE bidding. If you don't, I'll cancel your bid. I don't play your game. By the way, the Experian report, above, states that 6 years ago, a previous owner backed into a fence. I see ZERO evidence of this--no dents, no rust--NOTHING. Either it was repaired completely or it was insignificant. It's gone almost 100,000 miles since then. The tires wear evenly and it drives straight. Check my feedback. 100% positive for years!
