This is an above average, clean good running 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.3L V-6, 5-speed, 2-wd with good miles that was totaled out by the previous owners Insurance Company. They don't tell me why they did not repair but be glad they did not because this truck would not have been available to purchase if not damaged because as nice as it is the previous owner would still be driving.
The damage is what can be seen on the driver side. It is the left front fender, door, cab corner and bedside. Driver door opens, closes, locks and swings as it should. All front and rear lamps are good as is windshield and all glass. No frame or suspension damage, just a super easy rebuilder. Depending on your skill this truck could be repaired without purchasing any parts, just paint & material?
The overall truck is super nice with no problems or suprises and will satisfy whoever buys. The engine sounds excellent and the tranny shifts smooth and the clutch will engage right off the floor as it should with no chatter or throw-out bearing noise. I always road test what I sell but I was impressed enough with this truck to put a 1000 miles on it since I purchased it a month ago. So if ya have any doubts or questions that I overlooked in the description or pictures just call and I should be able to answer them.
The truck has no hail dings, rust or old damage other than normal wear & tear. The interior looks and smells like a low mileage truck should. The driver seat is not broke down or damaged. The truck was owned by a non-smoker with the cig. lighter & ash tray never used. It is a base model truck but has power steering, brakes, tilt wheel, automatic headlamp on/off and Ice Cold Air. The truck runs & drives smooth and will be a great driver or for resale. The insurance company quoted the retail value at $8000 before the damage.
I ran a "Carfax" report that indicated a good history and a "One Owner" truck purchased 08/15/03 and driven 10,084 miles per year.
