1979 Maserati Merak SS 220 hp, mid engine, Triple Webers, 5 speed transmission, 49k original miles, Black with Black leather interior (Bora style - original) door panels, seats, carpets and headliner all original and in nice shape, power windows, period cassette am/fm radio, power antenna, Original Campagnolo wheels with Goodyear Eagle Tires with original Pirelli spare (never used) original jack. Original floor pans are in very good shape, no rust. Exotic rare sports car. Runs nice. Original air cleaner and engine parts and the block is # 114.63.30. The window Vin plate, door jam and engine compartment all have the serial # 2468. (AM122US2468). Original trunk carpet and hood mat, very nice. Just located about 35 repair receipts between 1986 and 1992 including paint clutch replacment, etc. so lots of history comes with the car. Also comes with original owner's and maintenance manual, many books and magazines about the Merak. Car Cover included. Second owner and always garaged. Clean Title and safety check. Concerns Original leather interior is in very good condition with the exception of the driver’s seat which has a stitch separation on the left hand corner, but no rips or tears. Seats and dash would look real nice if dyed. Little rust at the top of the doors, in the middle below the back window and underneath the car, about a 2 inch area below the fuel pump, otherwise floor pans are very nice. From cold start, runs rich, adjust carbs / rebuild would help. The muffler top skin is seperating. The paint color is original black (door jams are original black) but has been repainted many years ago but still looks good. The Air conditioner is disconnected so unsure if it operates. Passenger side window motor needs the gear to be replaced, which I have.
