Vehicle Detail

Hi and thanks for checking out my Auction. I have a barn find from 1986, I have done a lot of work to the truck which I will list. It now needs body work. I might keep it over the winter and do the body work this spring. These trucks are still are going through the roof if you can find one. This is the last year model where the entire roof is removabale and leaves a convertible look. No door frames , pillars or even a roll bar. Take the top of and you have a bitching convertible. What I have done so far. New front hubs with new rotors pistons brakes brake lines and brake pads. New Rear brakes and springs on drums New Gas tank and fuel lines Correct and rebuilt 4 barrel carb (still need correct air cover) Rebuilt Transmission and transfer case and everything that goes with it....BETTER THEN FACTORY! I kept the original and had it rebuilt because I like #s to match. The shop that rebuilt the transmission is the best around the man who did the work use to build these for GM. The interior is complete and has original seat front and back. The seats even still have the original orange piping around the edges. It has an after market steering wheel and aftermarket cruise control. The truck is suppose to be Orange but the original owner painted it poorly in the early 80's to look like a newer blazer. Go figure? He parked it in the barn in 88. That is where I come in. I have been following these trucks for a while. I have owned about 6 international scouts so the gm availability of parts really appeals to me. As first mentioned this truck needs body work.....everywhere. I do mid 60 Cadillacs and have done my fair share of fabrication. I really like these trucks cause patch panels are readily and inexpensively available. Every part of this truck can be bought new. It has rust in all the typical Blazer spots, cab corners, floor pan, wheel wells, the lower passanger door. The tailgate is complete and does raise and lower but will need some TLC. Needs a passanger door button and tail gate lever. Also will need a knob for passanger window crank. Will also need two new exterior mirrors. The tires are ok but I would plan on replacing them and sooooooon. This truck is mechanical tip top just looks like hell right now. Straight lines and complete just needs a few patch panels. I am sure you might have a few questions and I am sure I have left something out. So please PLEASE ask questions before bidding. I will do my best ot answer. Bid with confidence check out my feedback and know you are dealing with a straight shooter and honest individual. Not going to give this truck away. I have about 3000 in receipts and that is getting stuff at cost and getting good guy discounts on all my parts. The rebuild of the tranny and transfer case with replacement of bushings everywhere would cost you about 1500-1800 alone these old knuckle breakers have really went up. I am open to offers and as mentioned my interest lay with mid 60's cadillacs as well as with BMW motorcycles 750cc or less. Might be interested in a newer mini van. I have the truck listed locally so I do reserve the right to end auction early. Aaro
