Vehicle Detail

1950 Studebaker Champion 4 door sedan with suicide rear doors. Engine has had valves ground and new rings about 700 miles ago. Oil pressure is at 40 psi at about 1500 rpm when warmed up. Carburetor was rebuilt at that time. Starts easily on the original 6 volt system. Generator charges battery nicely. Signal lights and all lights work as they should. Brakes - all wheel cylinders have been rebuilt. Linings were about 75% of original. Car stops easily and straight – no pulling. Steers very easily and runs down the road excellent. Does not pull to either side and stays straight with minimal effort. The only problem that I know of is that the speedometer works fine at low speed (less than 40) but makes noise and jumps around above that. I hadn’t gotten to rebuilding it yet. Tires have good tread and are correct size for a Champion. No exhaust leaks. No oil leaks. If shifting from low to second is done below 15 mph, transmission works great. If you wind it out to higher speed in low, the shift will rattle into second. Seats are comfortable and in excellent shape. Interior lights work. I have new door rubbers that I never got around to installing. Doors close easily and tight. Very little road noise. There is a some rust staining in the headliner near the right front door. I think it can be removed but I never got to it either. Floor boards are solid as is the trunk deck. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 We’ve had this car since 2003 and had a lot of fun with it. I bought it for my wife and she says I can sell it so I can buy a muscle car for myself. I’ll answer any questions that I can. The 1950 Bullit Nose is an unusual car that draws a lot of attention wherever you drive it. We were proud to take it to shows and always got compliments and questions from the spectators. This car is an eye catcher and shows well. $500 no refundable payment is due within 3 days of the auction end. Car must be paid for and picked up within 2 weeks. At pickup, balance is due in certified funds.Buyers with less than 100 feedback must contact me before bidding. On Sep-23-10 at 07:55:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I've tried to put a picture of the rear of the car but can't figure out how to do it. Some of the pictures show no rear bumper guards. One does. I had the guards off to do the polishing of the paint and took some pictures before I replaced the guards.
