Vehicle Detail
Hi, I am selling my 1936 early cab Chevy rat rod truck. It is titled as a 1936 chevy truck. I chopped the top 5.5", channeled it to cover the frame I replaced all the wood in the cab with metal (a painstaking process!). It has a 2x5" rectangle tube chassis that was professionally welded on a frame jig. I installed a 454 motor that was freshened up with new rings, bearings, ported heads with all ARP fastners, Compcams cam, noisy gear drive, Scorpion roller rockers, Wieand tunnel ram with Holley carbs, TH 400 trans, 8.8" rear axle with disk brakes, 31 spline axles and limited slip. Custom 4 bar rear axle set up with fully adjustable coil over shocks. Front axle is 4" dropped Superbell traditional ford with disk brakes, new spindles, bushings, etc. I fabbed a cowel exit steering set up using a f100 box that I reversed. It has oil pressure, water temp, speedo (needs a cable to be functional) 5" Autometer monster tach with shift light, headlights, taillights, and brakelights (no turn signals......thats what arms are for). 32" Lokar shifter that almost touches the roof in park! Bench seat with saddleblanket apolstery, Vera Bradley beach towel as carpet. I built this truck to look radical and ride low and that is what it is! The truck starts good and cruises good, the carbs could use a little more tunning to be faster as it has a little bog when you mash the gas but it runs good for a tunnel ram on the street. The transmission and converter are stock and work as such. Brakes are manual but the 4 wheel disks work good. The front tires are new as are the rears but there has been a few burnouts on them (just to level them out lol) they are Hurst pie crusts on radial cases. The tires are not ballanced and do shake a bit over 60mph. The body, frame, and any parts that look silver are bare metal with por 15 clear on them so not any maitnance. There is not an ounce of body filler on this truck what you see is what it is. This is a TRADITIONAL RAT ROD and is loud (not too bad as I have 8" harly baffels in each zoomy header tube) rides stiff, has vibrations, and is not for the faint of heart! Feel free to email any questions. DO NOT BID ON THIS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY OR KNOW WHAT A TRADITIONAL HOT ROD IS!!! ALL PAYMENTS MUST CLEAR MY ACCOUNT PRIOR TO ME SENDING THE TITLE OR THE TRUCK!!! Buyer must pickup from my house in Malone WI or arrange shipping.
