Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on complete, near original 1976 Sport Coupe Camaro. The VIN identifies it as a sport coupe, but it was optioned like a rally sport, except for the paint scheme. It has the original 350cid V8, 4-barrel motor. It is a factory 4-speed car. However, the saginaw was replaced with a stronger muncie. Everything else is stock. It's equipped with power brakes, power steering and A/C. The A/C compressor works, but needs a charge. Car idles, runs and drives fine, but the engine needs rebuild. I can’t confirm if it will pass CA emissions, however it does have a catalytic converter installed. It has not been registered for several years; I installed a new battery, put the carb back on and recently got it running. One of the plugs fouls after a while so it needs either rings or valve seals. The car interior color is buckskin. Driver seat has rips, but rear seat and passenger seat have no tears. The dash pad has no cracks. Interior is very clean for the age of the car. Color was originally Firethorn red, but the original owner painted it green. I'm listing the car for my brother who is the second owner. He has owned the car since 1989 and it has been garage-kept. Sheet metal is rust free and straight, with exception of a dent in the passenger side door. Looks like some previous body work in both doors. Paint is faded with some scratches. Bumpers are straight with good chrome. The wheels were an option for this model year and are the urethane/steel with trim rings. If you are looking for a solid, complete project car, this is a very solid Camaro and would not take a lot of work to restore. If you check the NADA book value for this car, you will see it is valued at $5000 at low retail value for a V8, 4sp , A/C car. The buy it now price is a bargain at $2500 given the condition. It has normal wear and tear one would expect of a car this old. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. If you have questions, please contact me before bidding. Do not bid if you expect a flawless vehicle.
