I have had this CJ5 for 20 years plus. It has always been used for light duty work around the farm and has never been used as a Snow Plow Jeep. With the advent of UTV's we no longer have a use for the CJ5, therefore I am offering it for your consideration. We recently went through the Jeep making repairs we thought necessary to make it acceptable. This CJ5 is a good candidate for someone who wants to do a full restoration or a "whatever use". I have listed what I consider to be "POSITIVES" and "NEGATIVES" in my best effort to provide an accurate description. Thanks for looking. POSITIVES NEGATIVES New Radiator recore, no leaks Speedo/ODO doesn't work New Prestone good to -40F No heater New Brake Master Cylinder rebuild Should have new seats Brake shoes are good Spare Tire is no good but I have a little wider one you can have New right front king pin bearings Fuel tank guage doesn't work, sending unit & hook up New right front axel universal joint For a full restoration you will need a new Tub & Fenders Two year old left front king pin bearings New steering bell crank, positive steering New Distributor Cap, Points & Spark Plugs New 6 Volt Battery New wiper arms & blades, 6V electric Fresh 10W30 oil & filter Strong running 134 F-HEAD, no smoke, good compression & oil pressure Relatively new clutch, throw out bearing & pilot bearing, no wear New transfer case to front drive shaft oil seal Virtually no rust frame & running gear, just dirty Warn Hubs Main gear tires are good but not new No weird noises from the running gear
