You are bidding on a 2002 PT Cruiser. I purchased this from my parents that purchased it from a close friend. I just had the top-end of the engine re-done. I had the car hauled to a local Napa shop that did all the work, there was no damage to the block, pistons, sleeves etc. The car was throughly inspected before and after the work. Kelley Blue Book suggests: $3500-$3800 for good to excellent with the mileage, however, it does not take into account the almost "new" motor, so, I put the "buy-it-now" at $3000 and reserve is very close to that, you will not be disappointed in this cruiser. This is what was done: 1. The engine was completely stripped down to the block, oil pan removed, any and all sludge removed from the pan, the underneath, pistons, bearing and sleeves were checked and certified o.k. 2. New Head and gaskets-we did not recondition the old head, we went with a brand new OEM head. 3. New Bolt Set for head 4. New Timing Cover Set 5. Re-conditioned the radiator, flushed and re-filled 6. New Serpetine belt 7. New Spark Plugs 8. New Timing Belt 9. New Thermostat 10. New Coolant Fan 11. New Starter 12. Flushed and re-filled transmission 13. Tires have approximately 60% or more tread left 14. Cam Sensors Replaced This motor was completely gone through by a certified Napa mechanic at a local shop. You can call him if you desire to talk about the specifics of the car. The inside of the car, I would rate as a 9/10 and the outside as a 8.5-9.0/10. There are some road dings and light scratches, but, everything works perfectly. All lights work, no pixels missing in the dash, speedometer and tach work fine as well as all windows, doors and moonroof work well with no apparent leaks, AC blows ice cold. Rims are peeling slightly. Things that may need be done in the near future: 1. Rear brakes-about 40-50% left 2. Front Windshield has a small crack in it midline upper to the passenger side, looks like a small stone struck it at some point, very small crack. I have put over 500 miles on it since having the work done with no problems, there are no leaks anywhere and it has plenty of power for the 2.4 L engine. The engine light comes on and off, I had this checked out and my mechanic says it is saying the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. I do not wish to put anymore money into this at this time and, that is not affecting the performance of this very nice cruiser. The interior is near immaculate with no rips or tears in the seats, the headliner has some small scuffs, but other than that, it is crystal clean. The car drives extremely tight and the ride is smooth for its class of vehicle. The exterior is in excellent condition as well with minor road dings. I personally feel you can drive this car anywhere with no problems at all. I got 26 mpg on the trips I have taken it on and it is not re-broke back in again. I know the owner before my parents bought it and they took excellent care of this vehicle with any and all maintenance being done as needed.
