1987 Corvette coupe, all original, weekend driver, always garaged, second owner, car has been pampered, bought vehicle in 1994 and kept in southern California, 69434 miles, 4+3 manual transmission, original 5.7 liter V8 engine. Car runs and drives great. New tires last year with less than 500 miles on them, they cost me $1200. New battery in March 2010. KYB gas shocks installed last year. New floor mats. Interior is in great condition. Exterior is in excellent condition but the paint has some minor blemishes. No rust anywhere. Everything works except for the power antenna...needs a $15 rebuilt kit. Must sell because my family is growing. Last year the car passed California's regular emissions test on the dynometer, but failed their new low pressure fuel evaporative test (EVAP test) adopted in 2008. The EVAP test pressurizes the gas tank with nitrogen gas. If the pressure drops after 4 minutes they say it has a leak? The car always smogged with no problem until last year when they began this new test. I think the technician didn't know what he was doing, but they refused to retest it without charging me. I don't know if other states have an EVAP test, the car runs perfect. It starts everytime and is quick. The car is registered in Montana with a clean title. Vehicle is sold "as is." Buyer is responible for registration and any smog requirements. Winning bidder must send a $500 deposit within 48 hours after the auction closes. The remaining balance is due within seven days. I'll accept cash, wire transfers, or checks but will wait to ship the vehicle until the funds have cleared the bank. The vehicle can be shipped anywhere but the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
