Vehicle Detail
I am sadly selling my 1975 Corvette that my husband bought for me when we first got married 35 years ago! As you will see from some of the pictures, I still have the original window sticker, bill of sale (dated April 14, 1975 from Sommers Motors, Inc. in Canandaigua, NY), odometer mileage statement (0004 dated 4/15/75), a 1975 Corvette wall plaque that shows the car's architectual design and details. We also have the 1975 Corvette owner's manual. It has been a wonderful part of my life for many years but we're moving and I can't take it with me. The car is completely original. My husband and I are the only two people ever to own this vehicle. It has never even been painted and has NEVER been damaged or in any kind of accident whatsoever. There has never been any work needed on the transmission or engine. The original radio was taken out and replaced with a C/D player, but the C/D was removed and the original radio is ready to go back in if you like. The car was driven almost every summer until it was finally put into storage in a warehouse 8 years ago (in Lansing, New York -- just outside of Ithaca). We haven't taken it out or driven it since then. (It was never driven in the winter.) The "manufacturer's suggested retail price" on the window sticker is $6,797.10 plus the options (listed below) to total $8,136.10. Since it may be a little difficult to read the sticker, I'll list them: "power windows; rear window defogger; four-season air conditioning; power brakes; 350-4 BBl V-8 engine; turbo hydramatic tran; tilt-telescopic steering wheel; power steering; dual horns; AM/FM radio; GR70-15/B stl belted radial w/l; Corvette bright yellow; VSS2 saddle vinyl". I apologize for the limited number of pictures--I took them in the storage warehouse where it was difficult to access the car. I didn't write down the exact odometer reading, but can get it for you if you need it. The 48,000 is very close. These are absolutely the only miles on this car. The person who buys the car will need to transport it on a flatbed since it hasn't been driven for so long. The starting price is just $1.00 less than the "reserve" of $7500. I'm hoping that someone will be able to buy this wonderful car and love it as much as I have. Good luck bidding!
