Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very complete and original 1969 Vista Cruiser 2 seat wagon. Out of the approximately 33,000 Vista Cruisers made in 1969, only a third (or 11,000) were two seat models, the others having a third row of seats. I bought this car with the intention of making it a tow car, but I have too many project cars to finish, and I decided to let this one go. This car has the optional 350 / 4 bbl engine rated at 310 hp. This car also has a 12 bolt rear from the factory. The engine runs well with the only problem being a bog when you step on it. I suspect that he carb needs a new accelerated pump. Otherwise, has great power. The car drives and stops well. The gas tank was removed for cleaning and is now inside the rear cargo area. There is an auxiliary tank hooked up so that the car remains drivable, but I would not plan on driving the car long distances. It should be transported. The glass is all good. All of the doors open and close well, as does the tailgate. The tailgate on a Vista Cruiser opens 2 ways : down, and also can swings open from the left side. In other words, a 2 way tailgate with power window. The interior is very nice. Including headliner, dashpad and rear seat. Dash is nice. Front seat has some seam splits in the usual places on the driver's side. (Lengedary Interiors makes replacement seat material for this car). The door panels are in good shape also. The car rides on 15X7 inch Olds Rally wheels. It has a new starter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Mileage reading is 106,700. Things to be corrected: There is some slight rust on the very top of the dash (metal part) just below where it meets the windshield. Most likely from condensation. It has a hole in the bottom side of the spare tire well (see photo). There is a moulding missing on the driver's side quarter panel behind the rear wheel well. I have many spare (some NOS) mouldings that go with the car including this one. All of the other mouldings are in place. I have located a company that makes replacement wood graining in vinyl for these cars. I am including a photo of a new 1969 Vista Cruiser with the wood grain factory applique on it for comparison purposes only. Needs an exhaust system. There is no rust on the frame or floors. The car is being sold at a low price in order to sell quickly, but I encourage bidders to ask questions before bidding. There are no warrantees or guarantees given.. Buyer is responsible for pick up and transport. A $200 deposit is required within 48 hours after the close of the auction. Full payment required within one week. Thanks, and good luck bidding.
