1987 Honda ATC 125m Ex. Condition - RARE! Vehicle Description Vehicle Description Thanks for looking! Dealers and Collectors welcome! Very rare, you probably will NEVER see another one like this, ever. For that reason, I do have a reserve on the auction. I'll gladly keep it for the kids. The year 1987 is a dark year for us all who love the ATC. That was the year that they had to be dismantled. For a 1987 to make it into the market, it must have been sold in late 1986. The rest of them were destroyed. Once thought NOT to exist and I almost swallowed my tongue when I found it! This trike has a clear Michigan title, in my name. I am 40 and this is the ONLY 1987 125M that I have ever seen. I am the second owner. You can see in one of the pictures the dust that had accumulated on the trike from the original owner. I did NOT restore this, I just cleaned it up. The only thing I touched with paint was the skid plate, the rear rack, and the chain guard. When I bought it, it still had the original Honda air cleaner in it. I replaced it with Honda OEM. It even had the tool kit and owner's manual stuffed in the tool box! I did replace the front fender with a new one. The old front fender is for sale in another auction. The pictures speak volumes! It looks pretty darn nice for a 23 year old machine! Everything works! This is a great machine to start out on, hunt with, ice fish with, take around the farm or to simply ride around your property. Has plenty of low end power. I tried to take a lot of close up pictures, it's very clean. The inside of the gas tank looks like it did in 1987! Has electric and pull start - both work! No motor noise, no leaks or issues! It would be a great accompaniment to an ATC 90, 110, 185s, 200s, 200x, 250r, 250sx, 350x or any of the TRX models 125, 200, 250, 250ex, 300ex, 400ex, or 450r. In 1986-87, Honda TOTALLY redesigned the 125m - EVERYTHING was different, from motor, to tranny, to look. This is a 5-speed semi-automatic WITH REVERSE! All dash lights work, it has a throttle limiter screw to keep it slow for the kids, head light and tail light work as well. It comes with an ignition key and a full size Honda Service manual. New Spark Plug New front tire, and newer rear ones (all the same brand) New Honda OEM air filter New Battery installed June 2010 Carburetor was just cleaned Valves adjusted I just tightened the chain Brake pads are good all around No loose bearings Some Minor Negatives: One very small repair to seat with vinyl sealant (see pictures - its tiny ~ a 1/4 inch). The front forks have some paint scuffs. The rims do have some light surface oxidation. For sale locally too. Contact me through eBay.
