1970 MG MGB Roadster - No Reserve; Up for auction is a 1970 MGB split bumper car with good body, good chrome, black interior, and wire wheels. Engine starts immediately and runs strong and reliably. Oometer reads 37570, but is not functional. There are many original parts and a full engine maintenance was completed in January 2010. This car is liscensed and driven on weekends around my neighborhood. I have owned this car for 3 years and have always stored it inside. It was restored in the early 90’s and the floors, wings, trunk, and rockers are all solid. Overall, this is a solid, complete car and the mechanicals work well. I took it on as a restoration project, but unfortunately, I don’t have the time necessary to complete the job. Recent Work Completed: Fuel Pump Replaced, spark plugs and wires replaced, new distributor, all brake hoses replaced, brake pads replaced, steering rack refurbished, rear brake cylinders replaced, U-Joints replaced, and rear suspension replaced. Some wet sanding and primer work in preparation for a repaint (see photos). Work that needs to be done: Speedometer and Odometer not functional. Comes with new zip out window top that needs to be installed. Weatherstipping and interior panels. Radio doesnt work. Could use a repaint. The winning bidder shall make contact by e-mail within 24 hours of the auction closing, to confirm the purchase. The winning bidder must send a non--refundable $500 deposit by certified check via priority mail within 72 hours after the auction closes. Remainder to be paid by certified check at time of pick-up. Balance due prior to pick up - must be within 7 days of auction ending via certified check, unless otherwise agreed upon. Check must clear prior to pick up.
