Vehicle Detail

Tagged, inspected, runs and drives. I drive it into town at least twice a week. I have a clear title in my name. She always starts. 1966 Ford Falcon Club Wagon Deluxe (E100 "Window van"), with the Supervan Option (18" longer behind the rear wheel weel, with ~20% increased interior cargo space). Super rare. Exact stats are hard to find, but less than 2,200 of these were made in the Club Wagon Deluxe platform (www.wetcoastfalcons.com/scff/histriv/fordfact13.htmsupervan). Even fewer had the Supervan option too. Inline six, 240ci. Manual 3 on the tree. Manual everything, no AC. Has factory heat (needs cable), which was an option in these. New parts: -all new brake system, from master cylinder through wheel cylinders. Re-used some of the long brass lines, but everything else is new and the work was done by a professional mechanic. -new fuel system to include gas tank (had to modify/fabricate a mid-60s brand new Mustang tank to fit since I could not find a van tank). New fuel sender which works. Fuel lines flushed. New fuel filter. Brand new holley carburetor. -original oil bath air filter retrofittted to accept Holley carb -new spark plugs, oil, points set, timing set, battery, battery cable -cooling system flushed about 5 times to get rid of the old rust/scale, back flush kit installed, and new radiator cap I have the front bumper, most (if not all) ofthe interior trim pieces/headliner bows, battery box cover, and what appears to be a factory option tow hitch. The bumpers need straightening, and the tow hitch needs modification to fit around the new gas tank (which is slightly bigger than stock). Needs: Full restoration. Body work, window seals, interior, horn relay, wiper motor (or just cleaned), heater cable replaced, choke cable replaced/fabricated. Windshield is cracked/scuffed at the top. Odometer does not work - shows 2416, but no idea what is the actual. I bought it to make a rat rod carrier for an ATV and got it running, but realized after getting it just how rare it is and that it deserves to be restored. However, I'd still rather have a beater to tote ATVs so I am looking to sell it. I WILL consider trades. BUT, you have to clear any trades with me first if you are bidding and we have to decide on the value first. You will have to get the trade here. I can't travel to do it. Will consider full/partial, up or down, on the following: wave runner on double trailer, ATV (not Chinese), dual purpose motorcycle, dune buggy, high end go offroad go cart or racing go cart, 4x4 Tracker/Samurai, or 1960s-1970s pickup (prefer crew cab and 4x4, but will consider what you have). Ugly trucks are fine, so long as they run and have paperwork. I reserve the right to cancel the auction early. I am happy to drive this van onto the shipping truck of your choice, at my door. Buyer is responsible to either pick it up in person or to take care of all cost and all arrangement of transport, shipping, etc. We will be around to load it for door to door shipping, but will not transport it to a shipping terminal. If you don't want to pick it up in person or pay for door to door shipping, please don't bid. We will release it to shipping only after full payment has been received in money order or Paypal. You can also drive this home. It is fully legal and has never let me down. I am sure you could drive it anywhere. No reserve. Bid to win. Starts low ($750). I have almost 5 times the starting bid into it.On Sep-11-10 at 07:08:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Added information 11 SEP: Lot's of question received. These should help with most of them. Here's a video of it started and run last night (FRI 10 SEP). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9s3Z3HBIvo Here's also two slide shows of the van. Includes corners, underside, under the mat, window seals, engine, etc. The worst area for rust is the rear passenger 1/4, with a small amount through the floor in that corner. It is at a small seam, and is a pretty easy fix. The other rear quarter seams have scale, but it appears to be over the factory welds for the supervan option, and the van does not appear to have ever had body work done to it. http://www.slide.com/r/9p5pLEg92T8GVHJllEghhbtTcmlxve-i?map=2&iid=2954361356184467980 http://www.slide.com/r/YOfoE8St3j8VsVE9LJFEspt6fRNXK2c3?map=2&iid=2954361356183140498 Again, this is a driveable restoration project. It needs full retoration. Don't consider it a turn-key show car. Also it is reliable, but as with all 44-year old vehicles, if you drive it every day, expect to break things and fix them.
