For Sale is a 1996 Ford Ranger XLT Ext Cab 4 Wheel Drive. This truck has high mileage due to the fact that we used it to travel 160 miles a day for quite a while. It has always been maintained at every service interval including the front and rear differentials and the transfer case. Earlier this year due to an oil plug issue, I had to have a motor put in. The garage that put it in took it from a newer one with around 70k and while they had it out, they put new rod and main bearings in and all new gaskets. We planned on keeping this truck and since the transmission was rebuilt with a heavy duty shift kit at 171k we decided to go the extra mile to have the motor gone over and done right. The truck has VERY minimal surface rust underneath as you can see in the pictures and no leaks, minimal sepage that is much better than ones I've seen with less miles! On top of the two major components being replaced, its had a brand new ECU put in at the ford dealer, new oxygen sensors, alternator, coil ( does not have a distributor has the electronic ignition coil ) and just last week had the front wheel bearings done. Also when the truck was bought the auto locking hubs were replaced with manual ones. Just about every major component has been replaced on the truck and it runs like a trooper! I HATE to have to get rid of it after 6 years because it has become part of the family. But due to uncontrollable sircumstances I have to part with it. DON'T LET THE MILES SCARE YOU, THE TRUCK HAS ALOT OF LIFE LEFT IN IT!!!!!!! (The spots on the ground are NOT from the truck, i just noticed them, they are from a neighbors work truck, that is the side street we have to park on lol) The AC is ICE cold and always has been and the heat blows hot as fire. Cruise control still works and holds speed for hours at a time! Aftermarket Pioneer CD player works well. Class 3 hitch and wire harness already installed! The truck has two issues that are known. (1) the gear shift column needs to be replaced due to where the shift linkage connects on cracked and it moves when you go to shift to park not allowing it to go into park so you can either A) reach under and push it over into park or B) due what i do and just park it in neutral with the emergency brake on. (2) The airbag light is on, its been on for about 5 years and just never cared about having it checked out. There are a few dents on it (one behind the passenger side tire on the bedside, one on the tailgate, and one on the front bumper) The truck is Pennsylvania State inspected until 5/2011 I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY AS THE TRUCK IS BEING ADVERTISED LOCALLY! Truck is AS-IS and buyer is responsible for pick-up or transportation and ALL associated fees. Payment is required within 3 days of auction. I've done my best to describe the condition of the truck fully. All issues that are known have been stated and the miles will continue to go up until the truck is sold, as its driven. Once again, the truck is sold AS-IS and its your responsibilty to arrange transportation.
