Vehicle Detail

If you are thinking of getting a small truck to modify or to use around the house-look at this great little S10! This is my personal vehicle-though I work in a dealership. It is currently registered in my name and insured...I drove it as recently as a couple of days ago. I bought the truck to haul my dirtbike and for various trips to Home Depot or the dump. It has never let me down. There you are...wanting to go to that truck show but with nothing cool to drive: buy this truck and you don't have that problem! It's a head turner-I get asked about it constantly when I'm out in it. Who says you can't find a vehicle under $3000 that's dependable and good looking too?? It's equipped with the tried-and-true 2.2l 4-cylinder engine combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. A previous owner upgraded it with alot of features of a higher-line truck-like the nice factory alloy wheels, bucket seats and center console, and the sliding rear window. In addition, they were nice enough to put in a high-output am/fm/cd player. It also has a brand-new, color-matched rear smooth roll pan as well. The previous owner had just done a head-gasket too-a common need with these trucks around 100k miles so you do not have to worry about it. This trucks starts at the turn of the key, runs great, and overall is in good mechanical condition. I have noticed that there is a pulsation in the front brakes-therefore I have purchased a new pair of front rotors (new ones are almost as cheap as turning the old ones) and a new set of brake pads. The purchaser will receive these parts with the truck (not installed-I just don't have the time to get them on there). It has the 5-speed manual transmission, and the clutch feels good and the tranny shifts fine. I noticed it has a feature (sort of a granny low) that prevents you from dropping into first unless you are nearly dead stopped. It shifts smoothly up and down. On the exterior, you will find pretty shiny paint and a body in decent condition. A nice part of this truck is that it spent time in the south-therefore there is virtually no rust (by virtually, I mean nothing other than very, very minor surface rust in a couple of spots). The frame and floors are excellent. It has various dings and scratches consistent with a truck that is 14 years old. A look at the front of the truck will reveal that I just installed a 98-up chrome bumper with a new valence. The old bumper had a little dent in it-and I thought this look really improved the overall appeal of the truck. You will want to relocate the lights that were in the previous bumper (or not...but you should know they are still operable, just not visible tucked inside right now). The truck has been lowered, by my measurements I think it's dropped 4" front and rear (could be a 3/4 too...hard to tell comparing to others). I love the rake of this truck...I used and considered it to be my "shop truck" and it has a very hotrod feel to it with the big tires in back and smaller ones in front. I really dig the color and look of the truck-but my needs have changed and I now need a larger truck for some hobby work I'll be doing. IN A NUTSHELL, HERE ARE THE "GOODS" and "BADS": Goods: Shiny paint, cleans up decent, looks cool lowered, nice alloys, good tires, updated bumper, upgraded interior. Bedliner. Motor runs smooth, recent head gasket, tranny shifts fine, parts alone worth thousands but this can easily be a driver every day as many of these trucks go beyond 200k miles with no problems. VERY clean frame/body mounts/etc with NO rust-through!! One of the most rust-free S10s in New England! Bads: Has minor short in turn signals? They don't always blink...think it might be the actual blinker that plugs in the fuse box...I'm including a new fuse to try. Otherwise not sure, but no big deal. Various squeaks when driving...as in tailgate doesn't have the grommets on it so you hear it rattle, couple of minor rattles from underneath. Brakes are vibrating, but I'm including all new parts so that's a non-issue. As you can imagine, any vehicle that's this age and mileage will be sold as-is. However, I can assure you I'm pointing out the very minor flaws I know of...and I can tell you I think this truck could easily drive from here to Florida if you wished (I would probably suggest you put the new brakes on first...but it does still stop on it's own). Please take a good look at my feedbacks-I report them as I see 'em because I want a happy buyer. Bid quick...it will not last! Ask questions prior to bidding please...I'll answer honestly and as quickly as possible. Winning bidder to pay $500 deposit by paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment and pickup of vehicle within 7 days. Once I'm paid in full I would gladly help your shipper if needed. This is a no reserve auction-and though this vehicle is for sale locally-I expect a lucky Ebayer to win this truck. Please email me with questions prior to bidding-your bid is binding! Thank you very much-regards, Mike.
