Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1978 Pontiac Trans Am special edition solar gold Y88. It originally came with a pontiac 400 and a borg warner super T-10 4speed. I DO NOT have the original transmission or engine. The car has a lot of rust on the body parts, but the frame rails are still good. Bad spots : Trunk pan, rocker panels, in front of r/r wheel on r/s, tail panel, driver side door jamb, under rear window. The floor pans we're replaced less then 2 years ago, as was the pan that sits under the r/r seat (came from donor car). The car is currently torn down with no engine, transmission, or front end on the chasis. It does sit on 4 professionally reconditioned factory 15x8 snowflakes with the proper coloring for this car. The tires have never seen the road ( aside from two tow's ) but are at least 5 years old. They are BFG radial t/a's, 245/50r15 in the front and 295/50r15 in the rear. It also has the reproduction plastic center caps. Car does have the original gold tinted fisher t-tops, and I have all of the body pieces to put the car back together. The original fenders need patching aswell. If the auction hits my reserve, I will include the following : numbers matching carb, correct 4 speed BW transmission, new gas tank in box, new ac/delco master cylinder in box, new original style exhaust splitter tips, a pair of 6x-4 heads, radiator support in great shape, correct radio for car ac/delco am/fm, new in package gm "trans am" mud flaps, extra pair of factory tinted window glass, extra pair of black fisher t-tops, new in box motor mounts, and a bunch of other random parts like wiring harness's, window regulators, and god knows what else that i have collected over the years. If you want a specific picture of anything or have a question please ask, also see my photobucket account for some pictures http://s153.photobucket.com/home/iroc4me2 . I just can't afford to put any more money into this car, and I believe it would be a great project for someone who does his own body work. I have no problems with anyone setting up shipping, just handle the pick up and I will make sure the car gets on the truck. I do have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Thanks for looking!
