For sale by auction is a nice Mercedes 380SL with bronze exterior and tan interior. The paint is shiny and sound but is not without the usual dings and scratches for a twenty eight year old car. The underside of the car is very solid and does not have the usual rust in the floors and rockers. The wheels look good and the tires have plenty of life remaining. The interior is in overall good condition, the seats are faded but not torn and the stiching on the rear cover is comming loose. The dash cracks are not visible due to a well fitting cover. The black convertible top is in great shape except for a small slit in each corner window, probably from being stowed away. I have sealed them with clear tape but I understand these windows can be replaced. The engine starts up with a turn of the key and idles smooth. The car runs down the road well with the transmission shifting when it should. I purchased this car to add to my collection but am running out of room. I have tried to accurately describe the car to the best of my knowledge but have not driven the car enough to discover every detail. Please ask specific question about anything else you would like to know before bidding. The car is sold as is and the purchaser is responsible for transportation.
