Vehicle Detail

I have a 1970 Ford F100, single cab, short bed, 4-wheel drive, 390 4-speed, it starts and drives although I haven’t driven it far. I actually found this in a barn just down the street from me. Overall the pans look rust-free, pretty straight truck. There are some spots that you’ll see very minor rust bubble, but not much. It was sold to me as a 390, a couple of other people have told me it is a 390 truck. The clutch seems good, the engine doesn’t smoke or knock. The carburetor is an old Holly 4-barrel, and it leaks out of the diaphragm a little bit. It’s been sitting in the same spot for three weeks, and I think it has one drop of oil. 4-wheel drive works, as I have tested it out. It’s got the lock-in hubs. It has like new 31x10.50x15 tires. I do have the front bumper and I have the exterior side mirrors, and it does have all the original side chrome and it is in good shape. It needs a front grill, windshield. It looks like it has a dent in the upper part of the driver side door by the windshield. It looks like someone took a bat and hit the windshield and swung again and hit the door. The last owner primed it because some of the paint had chipped, so it had small chips, and it had that British brown original primer and he said it looked like poop, so he primed it. Interior is muddy and dirty, so it needs to be cleaned up, the seat is in good shape, but it needs to be cleaned. All the lights seem to work. It would be a great candidate for re-building, as I know they’re rare, and cool looking when they are built. It’s a 1970, so it’s not perfect, it’s an old truck, you can use it to drive around town, working on the farm as it is right now, other than that you’re going to have to build it up or do whatever you want to do to make it nicer and more reliable. I’m sure I have missed some things, so please call me if you have any questions, or come and inspect truck, because it is sold as is.…..303.638.6972.
