1946 or may be a 1947 Studebaker MODEL M16-5 1 1/2 ton flatbed with stakes VIN M16-517487 VIN plate is in the left door jamb upper portion on the windshield post side of the jamb in tact & readable. 80HP 6 cylinder flathead gas engine Four speed manual transmission Top speed 55 miles per hour WE WILL HELP YOU SHIP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AFTER IT IS PAID IN FULL AND CLEARED Built new in 1947 in the Studebaker plant in California we believe it has been a California truck all it's life. It was found on orchard property in northern California and then brought down to southern California to restore. Yes, all steel body & fenders. Yes there is "some" small rust areas but nothing an amateur metal man could not cure with metal work, restoration and paint experience. Can't avoid that ! at this low price !!! We're not asking 5K for this! It is just too nice to rent to the Motion Pictures they are not too easy on the rentals !!! A real head turner ! Large gas tank on the frame and one under the seat also ! Locking gas cap on that one we lost the key for so the big tank is used. Title will be provided within 30 days of purchase since the VIN only needs to be verified by the AAA so when you pick it up we can go to the AAA Office and they will verify this and put it in your name at that time. It is not on the records of the DMV in California and we will do all the legwork for you to obtain the title through our AAA office. One bump to the front left fender. The interior has the correct original colors we believe the interior was original paint and the exterior was only pinted over once in the original red paint. Interior needs help as they all do needs springs and upholstery. Wood bed needs replace and some of the stake panels are included. Some interior trim missing not indicated in photos nothing major missing on this truck. WE HATE TO SELL THIS, as it was to be built for our shop use to do parts running with. We needed a larger truck to tow cars with this past season so have to sadly part with this cutie. The original front beam axle steers just fine. Front bumper was incorrect so it was cut off.
