Vehicle Detail

We specialize in Mercedes Benz. Family Owned & Operated since 1991 Very Well Maintained Runs Good Top is in Good Shape Straight Body 4 Speed Manual Transmission Original Radio and works Chrome in good shape Tires are excellent Ready to Drive We recently serviced and adjusted the carburetors (WEBERS) This is truly a classic that is ready to drive but needs a face-lift.Good brakes, steering and suspension. The king pins looks as if they were replaced recently. The temperature gauge is currently being fixed We have the original books for this car. The 190 SL had two owners. This car spent most of its life in Southern California. First owner had it in Los Angeles for ten years up to 1966.. The second owner purchased the vehicle in 1966 and had it registered in Santa Barbara. The second owner moved to Southern Oregon for retirement and the vehicle has been here since. The climate in Southern Oregon is similar to that of Southern California so the vehicle has no rust or moisture damage. There is a typical rust point beneath the battery (a common issue with these models as well as an easy fix). According to the books the vehicle had been painted in 1974 from original red to silver color. The roadster is a "complete" car. A perfect candidate for a total showroom restoration or a daily driver. The interior would need some new carpeting, but a chance for somebody to choose what color they would like. The chrome is complete, but some pieces could be re-chromed (the new owner can decide how perfect he or she would like to make it). I had this vehicle advertised on craigslist and our website, but due to the very high response rate I had to place the vehicle on ebay to be fair to all my bidders. Good luck and happy bidding! On Sep-03-10 at 07:28:29 PDT, seller added the following information:To see more images of the 190SL check out the album link below: http://s771.photobucket.com/albums/xx353/lukasz_krolak/1956%20Mercedes%20190SL/?start=0 This vehicle could be a daily driver as it is now. All lights and signals work, Original Radio is working well. We inspected brakes, steering, and suspension. On Sep-03-10 at 10:19:32 PDT, seller added the following information:We just installed rebuilt temperature gauge. It was rebuilt by VDO dealer- in Palo Alto. We also did find out that this car was always serviced by Mercedes dealer
