1969 Honda

This is a used all original 1969 Honda Z 50 AK1 Minitrail with speedometer and horn. The 1969 minitrail is the most desirable model and it is the only year that had the battery and was street legal for its model year. It is all complete and in running condition. It will start on the first few kicks, smokes a little on start up, it shifts through all 3 gears but the shifter return spring is broken or worn out so you have to bring it back up with your foot when shifting. The seat cover had been replaced by the previous owner. The 10 plus years that I have owned it it replaced the following items, new rear tire and tube, repainted back rim, replaced all 3 cables.replaced foot pegs with new ones and repainted, new grips,replaced points, condensor and plug, new light bulbs,fabricated new horn bracket as the old on had rusted to the point it was cracked. Replaced the taillight bracket with a better K2 bracket as the one that was on it was badly damaged. (I have no idea how it got a K2 bracket as it was on the bike when I got it). I am the third owner of this bike, the story I got when I bought the bike goes like this: The original owner of the bike bought it new in 1969, to use it when he went camping with his camper. Months after buying it, he took it back to the dealer and had them install the horn and speedo so he could register it for use while camping. I have no way to confirm this statement so therefor take it for what it is worth to you. This bike DOES NOT have a title, I will provide bill of sale only!!!
