1997 Geo Prizm I have owned this vehicle for the last 5+ years of my life and it has been extremely reliable. The car is a 13 year old car so by no means is it in perfect condition. However like any Toyota made vehicle the engine seems to want to last forever. I say this because this model of the Geo Prizm has the same engine, transmission etc.. as a 1997 Toyota Corolla. The only difference is the body and design is made by Chevy.check out the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C30SvE9y4w0 The cars issues: 1.) The “check engine light” is on. The reason for this is that there is a cylinder 2 misfire every once in awhile. This triggers the check engine light to go on. In reality I have spoken with auto mechanics and they have told me that the car will continue to run fine (which it has for over last 2 years !!!) with this issue. I understood that the cost to fix it is not equivalent to the value of the vehicle so it is best to leave it be. For those worried about passing inspection I have a simple solution which I have used for the last two inspections. I will be happy to email bidders this solution. 2.) The car door on the driver side has some visible dents (please see pictures). These dents were there when I purchased the vehicle and have no effect on how the vehicle performs. 3.) The hood seems to lay on the slightest angle (please see pictures). 4.) There is a tiny hole near the rear light, the size of the tip of a pencil (please see pictures). 5.) The ash tray has been removed.The Air conditioner/heater makes an odd noise which is loud. However works perfectly. The great things: 1. A vehicle that is durable with great Gas mileage that will definitely get you from point A to point B. The engine sounds great to the average ear that you will be extremely pleased with. 2. The car comes with a cd/mp3/radio player that has a removable face place. 3. The car comes with a Magellan GPS included. 4. The cars starter was replaced in 2006 but no other major replacements everything has worked great. Please keep in mind the car’s color is a mixture of lavender to grey. There is no reserve on this vehicle. The winner must put a $200 (if the bidding goes past $200) deposit on pay pal after winning the vehicle. Any remaining amount will be settled over with cash/cashier check during the transaction of the vehicle. The car can be picked up in Philadelphia untill the 6th of September. After which the car will be in NEW YORK CITY. I repeat: do not bid if you plan to pick the vehicle up on the 7th of Sept or later and can’t make it to NYC.
