Vehicle Detail

1990 Honda Accord. Just under 147,000 miles. Features: Cruise control Great gas mileage Low mileage Power windows Secure glove compartment Inspection current until end of August 2010. Replaced timing belt and battery within past year. Replaced alternator in 2008. This is a no frills car that, with some basic maintenance, will get you from A to B. Engine is in good shape. Good first car, city car, student car, etc. I do not need it anymore and want to sell it to stop paying insurance. Make an offer. Vehicle issues: Like any 20 year old car, this one has some issues. Here is a complete list of problems and potential problems I have identified: The **items** will need to be addressed before passing inspection. **Cracked windshield** **Passenger side headlight cracked. Bulb/electrical components work, just need to replace lens** **One brakelight is out** **Car runs loudly** Car seems to be running loudly because of the exhaust, but I don't know where the leak is in the system. A/C: might not work, might work very slowly, might need to be repaired. I don't know because I don't use it. Power locks no longer work. Rain gets into trunk. Smells funky. I do not keep anything in there. Rust patches behind rear wheel wells (see photo). Stereo was stolen, leaving stereo wire frayed and console out of alignment (see photo). No antenna. Tires show sign of wear but still have tread (see photos) Damaged grill (see photo and explanation below) Vehicle History: My father bought it used in 2000 with around 60,000 miles on it. Though the title was in his name, I was the primary driver from 2000 until the present. I was also responsible for maintaining it. In 2008 I bought the title from my dad. So even though Autocheck says 3 owners, I am really the one who has driven and maintained it since it was bought from the original owner in 2000. In 2003 another car hit my driver's side near the front at low speed. No mechanical damage but some body damage to the left front panel, which was replaced. The color matches and there have been no problems since. In 2008 I had a fender bender at low speed. I rear ended a pickup at less than 5 mph. The pickup had a tow hitch, which damaged my hood, grill, and bumper. The hood and bumper were replaced. I have the repair records. I have had no problems since. The grill still shows damage (see picture) but it is just cosmetic. It has since passed inspection. The replacement hood is a different color (gray) than the rest of the car (see picture). In 2008 the alternator was replaced. I have the repair records. In 2009 the timing belt was replaced. A new battery was also installed. I have documents for both. Check engine light is NOT lit. Otherwise I have maintained it pretty well: oil changes and recommended maintenance at regular intervals. It is current through inspection until the end of August, 2010. Sale: BUYER is responsible for payment in the form of CASH or CERTIFIED CHECK at time of sale. No personal checks. BUYER is responsible for showing PROOF OF INSURANCE at time of sale. No exceptions. BUYER is responsible for obtaining TEMPORARY TAGS at time of sale. SELLER will REMOVE PLATES at time of sale. SELLER is responsible for providing CLEAR TITLE at time of sale. Car is being sold AS IS.
