This fine example of air cooled classic Porsche Performance is finished in triple black (black exterior paint, black leather, black convertible top) and has Porsche's 5 speed manual transmission. The 5 speed is mated to their acclaimed 3.2L horizontal 6 cylinder engine that provides 202hp. This car was the first for Porsche to have DME fuel and ignition. The brakes were upgraded with a bigger booster and larger roters over previous years. The heating system was upgraded for 1985, too, with two extra blowers. Porsche also changed the oil cooler in 1985 to a finned, radiator type cooler. To provide the extra air needed, the opening in the bumper was enlarged. The paint, leather, and top are in overall overwhelming condition. To truly appreciate the vehicle is to see and drive it. The vehicle shifts and drives true, steering is precise, brakes are firm, and the suspension is taught. While there may be 'other' vintage 911 Cabriolets rest assured this one is in VERY good shape and condition for its age.
