This lotus has every option offered by Lotus and is perfect. This is probably the nicest Turbo Esprit HCI in the country. I looked for 10 months before I purchased this car. No expense has been spared to make this a true show car-and it is a true pleasure to drive. The production figures for the 1987 HCI Giugiaro was set at only 198 cars. The 1987 Esprit was the last of the "Giugiaro" styled esprits--it has raised engine compression given rise to the (HC): moniker-and was the first Lotus with fuel injection thus it became the (HCI extremely rare). The Lotus Turbo Esprit HCI became one of the greatest driver cars ever made for the road (classic car and driver magazine) once you get behind the wheel it becomes genuine super car pleasure. The experience of handing a mid-engine car with its engine mounted longitudinally is rare enough, in an Esprit, the sense of balance and the feeling of control when driving is pure excitement. This car has serious performance and great steering, incredible road handling, powerful brakes with good feel, as well as superior gear change. This is a gorgeous original 1987 Lotus Esprit HCI. Runs absolutely flawlessly-never runs hot (even on hot days) and burns no oil-and has no leaks This car is extremely fast and in the Lotus tradition is one of the best handling exotics ever made. All scheduled maintenance has been done to this wonderful car--including new timing belt-hoses..etc..oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles.(20/50 syn).
