Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1976 Toyota Celica GT Coupe.Given that the vehicle has been parked for eleven (11) years and is not currently running it is being sold as is where is for parts or restoration. Seller makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the condition of this vehicle. Buyer assumes responsibility for returning the vehicle operational condition, including all repairs necessary to satisfy all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, including but not limited to repairs that may be necessary to pass a California Smog Check, if the buyer wishes to register and/or operate the vehicle on public roads and highways. The car was purchased by my father as a toy in 1994 with a believed to be accurate 86,900 miles and driven less than 2,000 miles over the next five (5) years. This vehicle appears to be complete and original with the exception of the wheels which are clearly aftermarket. There are no dents in the body and the upholstery appears to be in good condition. There is one large crack in the dash pad on the driver's side. The seats were originally black but the inserts have faded to a brown color. It has been stored outdoors in southern California for the past seven years so the paint is oxidized but remains intact so there is no visible rust on the body. The vehicle was running when my father put it in storage. Please be aware that the method of storage was to simply drive the car into an aircraft hanger and park it next to the new toy that had replaced it. The fluids that remain in the car, if any, have been in the car for a minimum of eleven (11) years. The only problem known to me when the car went into storage was a crack in the exhaust manifold and perhaps other exhaust leaks. A new in box Toyota exhaust manifold will be included in the purchase. Any other problems that may have arisen over the passage of time are simply unknowable. Please review the pictures carefully before bidding to satisfy yourself as to the general condition of this vehicle.
