The VF1000R was a showcase for the technology Honda developed on the race track. This was the first bike to have gear driven cams, these would become the trademark of future V4 Hondas. The VF1000R modifications increased the claimed output of the V4 engine to 122bhp. This bike has the beautiful color scheme of Fighting Red with Shasta White and Candy Aleutian Blue. Like the VF500 and VF750 the 1000R has the Honda wings on the fuel tank. This particular VF is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition! The bike is very original with all body parts in excellent condition or NOS. The clear plastic windscreen was replaced with a non stock but perfect facsimile with correct decals. The tank was professionally repainted and looks awesome. This bike is the nicest VF I have seen. It is currently registered and inspected in New Hampshire. The bike runs smooth and the bike is fast. The carbs were recently cleaned at the local Honda dealership at a cost of $300. The bike includes the original tool kit, owners manual, service manual, and parts catalogue.
