This is a 1960 Volkswagen body that was put on a shortened 1955 Chevy chassis sometime in the 60's. I think it was nicely done. The car was a drag car and a daily driver until 1982. It is titled as a 1955 chevy and the underpinnings are all chevy so parts are easy to buy, reliable, and up to the job at hand. The car ran several V8's over the years and the last one was a 400 sbc with a turbo 400 transmission with a 3500 RPM stall. It's got a 4.11 posi rearend and also comes with a set of 4.56 gears. There is an extra set of slicks that goes with the car too but they are 30 years old so use them at your discretion. This is a pretty cool old car that ran 12.4's with crappy 400 and would absolutely fly with a built small block or big block. The 400 and the transmission are both leaking like british motorcycles so they will need resealed or replaced. Still a very cool old car that was engineered a LOT better than most V8 bugs from the day (I say that like there a tons of V8 bugs out there!) It's cool and you need it.
