This is an excellent condition Honda Blackbird in the first year this model was offered (1997). This is the fastest carbureted bike ever offered by a manufacturer. The fuel injected models introduced in 1999 forward had fuel emission standards to meet that actually made them a tad slower (although there is debate about this). One thing is certain- nothing else ever changed on this model except color. Honda got everything right the first time, because this was their flagship motorcycle. This Blackbird has been A/C garaged AND well ridden in the last three years. It has never been laid down, This awesome bike has the following extras: 1). A Givi sport touring windshield. 2). Trickle Charger for when garaging for more than a few weeks. 3). A Bell weathersealed 12 VDC outlet at handlebars 4). Handlebar risers (1 3/4" up, 3/4" back). 5.) California Car Covers dust cover 6.) Portable rain cover. 7). Original clip-ons, and 8). A fine matching leather tank protector. Please note: this motorcycle is being sold with its original Honda seat, which is in absolutely perfect condition. The following maintenance has been done in the last 5,000 miles: 1). All fluids, hoses, clamps, rubber dampeners, plugs, throttle cables and battery were replaced at 12,800 miles. 2). New oil and filter at 16,100 miles. 3). New O-ring chain, new Michelin Pilot Power tires replaced at 16,800 miles. Honestly- this bike can be ridden with no maintenance costs for the next 3000 to 6000 miles- everything has been done. She has been treated right, and she will treat YOU right. When I went to the Barber Motorsports Pro AMA races recently, everyone asked me "What is that? Is that a new model Interceptor? Is it a new model from Honda?" Nope- it's just the finest sport touring bike ever made. Honestly- this bike will outperform nearly every sport touring bike ever made- and a few sport bikes as well.
