This is a beautiful and collectible vintage 1973 Honda Elsinore Cr 250M, patterned after the AMA winning 250 MX machine of Gary Jones. This is the first year of the 250 Elsinore as noted by the serial numbers on the frame and motor, both beginning with CR250M and CR250ME. The frame is straight and true with no cracks, dings, or repairs. The frame rails are perfect. The forks have new dust covers and fluid. The rear shocks are new Progressive, Vintage, Motocross shocks. The tank is painted in Gary Jones colors. It is an unrestored tank in very good condition. It is the raw aluminum, not the metal painted. DC plastics was kind enough to custom make the fenders, number plates, and side panels in the same transluscent white as the Jones bike. It has new handlebars, grips, levers, throttle, and cables. It has new Dunlop 756s front and rear with new tubes. Pipe is a brand new DG pipe. Seat cover and air filter are also new. Carb is new 36mm Mikuni. It has a new chain and countershaft sprocket. Bike is clean enough to be a showpiece, and also mechanically like new. The work on the bike was all completed approximately 2 years ago, and it's been on display since then. It hasn't been started in 2 years, so I'm sure it will need the carb cleaned before you start it. It ran fine, and started right up, the last time I tried it, but that was 2 years ago. It's been on display inside, and did not sit outside. There is no title for this bike, it's sold with a bill of sale only. It's sold as is, where is, and buyer is responsible for shipping.
