Vehicle Detail
We've owned this GTO for nearly two years, and have done our part to complete the restoration. The interior and exterior are in excellent condition. The engine and transmission perform flawlessly. The original specs. are listed below. 400 C.I. V-8 Producing 350 Hp. @ 5000 R.P.M and 445 Ft. Lbs. of Torque @ 3000 R.P.M 10.75/1 Compression with 4.12” Bore & 3.75” Stroke 3 Spd. Automatic Transmission with 3.23/1 Rear End Ratio Production Model Performance with No Modifications: 0 To 60 M.P.H – 6.5 Sec. ¼ Mile – 14.4 Sec. @ 92.2 M.P.H Source – Motor Trend Weight – 3506 Lbs. Wheel Base – 112 In. Track – 60 In. Height – 52.2 In. Color – Meridian Turquoise with black vinyl top. The engine was de-tuned so that it now runs on regular, unleaded fuel. Exterior paint is new, and is close to the original shade. The rear suspension is equipped with air shocks. The tires have very little wear. There is no spare or original jack. The driver's side lower door hinge was recently replaced and the closure is still a little tight. The original oil pressure and temp. gages were replaced with exterior mounted models and an exterior tachometer was added. The original clock does not work. The head light switch that also acts as the vacuum control for the head light covers is likely the source for the vacuum leak that prevents to covers from working properly. It should be replaced. I've purchased a replacement parking brake pedal assembly, but it is not installed. The passenger side hood hinge assembly needs further adjustment. I know of no other necessary repairs or modifications. I have two other restorations in progress at this time, and have no room to store this car. It will make an excellent cruiser for someone. Transport of the vehicle is the responsibility of the buyer.
