Vehicle Detail
1972 Honda SL350 in good shape. Not a showroom bike, but certainly a decent around town bike right now. Fires up first or second kick, cold or warm. No smoke or abnormal noises from the engine. Doesn't leak, goes through the gears just like it should. Brakes are in good shape, as are the tires. The chrome on the bike isn't perfect, but most would clean up with a little elbow grease. I didn't work on any of the chrome, but the wheels are in very nice shape already, very minor pits here and there. Tach and speedo work as do all the lights and horn. New battery this year. The paint isn't anything great, but it's functional. I also do have the HONDA tank badges that somebody previously took off. Seat has no tears in it. Once in a while the kick start likes to stick (in the down position), but it's always come back up eventually and it bump starts real easily. Has a nice two into one exhaust on it, nice and quite at idle, and kicks in on the higher revs. Also has cone air filters installed. Really, the bike is ready to go. (FYI, in the one picture, the blinker is on, I just happened to take the picture when it blinked ON.) I can deliver in the Charleston area, and as such can drop off at a shipping depot in Charleston, if everything is prearranged by the buyer. I am not setup to do any crating or dis-assembly for shipping. Winning the bid is not an invitation to come out and kick tires and change the price. The price will be set by the eBay auction. If you would like to see the bike before the auction ends, I will be more than happy to show it to you, bearing in mind that last minute viewings may be difficult to schedule. NOTE: I will require a $200 deposit on the bike within 48hrs of purchase through PayPal. I can store the bike in my garage for a little while, please contact me first with any special requests, as I will not store it until Christmas etc. RETURNS: NO RETURNS unless I sent you the incorrect parts. I describe everything I'm selling to the best of my knowledge, if I do not know the condition of something (ie, electronics) I will be the first to tell you that fact. Please ask for additional pictures, and ask specifics about the auction before it's over. It is the buyer's responsibility to ask questions. Remember...unless I specify the auction part is new....these parts are USED. This means not new. I know this may sound obvious, but I'm still amazed when there's some old dirty looking part up for sale and people complain because they get an old dirty part. If something is damaged in transit, you can make your claim off the USPS insurance tag. If you did not request/ pay for insurance, that is not my problem. It is very cheap (2/3 $) for the coverage that is given. SHIPPING: If you feel the calculated shipping is pretty bogus, let me know and I'll gladly take the package to the post office at the auction end and get you the EXACT shipping price. (yeah, I've seen 1lb parts with calculated shipping showing $60...) Prior to setting up an auction, I do not package up individual parts and weigh them, measure packages etc, as many bidders want combined shipping anyhow, and sometimes nobody wants what I've listed, so it's a waste of time to do it ahead of time. I will however get a more realistic price upon request. Thanks and good luck bidding!
