For those not so informed this is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible! This would make a great restoration project for sure,...whether a tribute ,recreation, SS or stay 100% original Malibu! These '70 chevelle convertibles are quite rare and an elusive search this day and age! Take a look on ebay and see for your self. For every 1 '70 chevelle convertible made, chevrolet made 41 chevelle coupes, and about another 57 chevelles on top of the 41 coupes were sedans,elcaminos and station wagons, Rare! One online site I found says 7,141 convertible chevelles,...270,000 (+/-) coupes! This chevelle is all complete and last run/yard drove 6 years ago, been in storage prior to this and since then also. The engine is a 350 that ran fine and burned no oil when parked. It turns over by hand and is not stuck. The 350 does not turn over by key due to the ignition switch froze, and only turns on to accessory. A nicely optioned chevelle with power steering (p/s), power disc brakes (p/db), power/convertible top (p/top), tilt wheel (t/whl) and SS rims. NOTE: The front brakes are the optional power disc brakes installed at the factory, the rear being drum brakes. Also included with the chevelle is the convertible top boot, sometimes referred to as the “parade boot”…although not included in the pictures (I forgot to take a picture) and is in excellent shape. The interior shows some wear as expected for the original fabric, the worst being the split in the front bench seat, over all decent condition though. Maybe someone out there can devote the time and money that this classic needs and deserves,...this is a good investment car! No title, will issue a bill of sale of course. ... Maine does not issue titles for vehicles older than 15 years, sorry. I did the best I could to take close up pictures of the "good and the bad" areas. I think the pictures are pretty self explanatory, but I'll elaborate some anyways. The floor boards need some work or replace. The trunk floor is beyond repair and needs replacement. The lower part of the rear quarters has some rust and needs help also, but not bad at all (see the pictures). I believe the mileage is original at 122042. The frame is all there but has issues, the passenger side being in the best condition. The rear top shock bracket (on pass.side) on the frame is broken. The driver’s side frame under the rocker is rusty/flaky and rusty under the trunk floor too. The transmission shifts freely and worked well when last run/driven. The chassis is 75% free rolling, with one wheel not turning on the passenger side rear due to the brake shoes stuck to the brake drum. A true American icon worthy of a full restoration. I'll also deliver for a fee of $1.50 per mile from 16 miles of vehicle location up to a maximum of 50 miles,.....no more sorry, I'm not a trucking company and don’t have the extra time for longer mileage trips.
