We are presenting a 1986 Toyota Landcruiser that is in great condition. We received this vehicle in February, 2010 and have had a professional mechanic go through the FJ 60 in great detail, correcting the few minor problems found. The drive train, including engine and transmission, clutch, etc. are in very good condition. Compression tests were done on each cylinder and they all showed strong compression. The original suspension was completely replaced with medium duty springs and shocks, to include all hardware. This resulted in the vehicle being lifted about three inches. We replaced all brake pads and front rotors. There is a limited slip in the rear differential. The 4x4 components all appear to be in good condition, including the transfer case. We replaced the original wheels and tires with custom wheels (Eagle) and new BFG A/T tires. We did not do anything to the interior. The interior shows normal wear and tear, but is in servicable condition. We had a professional paint & body shop repair the few areas where rust (minor) was showing on the body, and do the custom painting. We thought they did an excellent job. The only item not completed is the exhaust pipe extending from the muffler, which was removed when we installed the new suspension system. (We have been busy on other projects and just haven't able to get back to installing a new exhaust pipe. The muffler is in good shape, we just ran out of time.) This vehicle runs and drives remarkably well, and for the miles, is in excellent condition. The gas milage we are getting from the 6 cylinder engine is very good. This FJ60 would make a "hell for stout" trail machine or even a good daily commuter. The vehicle is located in Aztec, (northwest) New Mexico and is available for inspection about anytime.
