1964 Chevelle Malibu Convertible.It shows 82K on the odometer but I dont know if it is actual miles.It is not a #s maching car. The engine is a 1967 283 4-Barrel with Dual exhaust that was completely rebuilt 20 years ago. It is in great shape it is quiet and doesnt use any oil. It is stock except for an Eddlebrock 650 Carbruator,aluminum valve covers and air cleaner.It was a 3 speed car that I converted to a 4-Speed Muncie M-20. The 4-Speed was completely rebuilt with all new parts 3 years ago. It has Hurst linkage with a correct 64 Muncie bench seat handle. It has a new complete 11 inch clutch setup and U-Joints at the same time. It has a 10 bolt open rear end with a Finned Aluminum cover and 308 gears for great gas milage.It has new Heavy Duty Springs and new shocks all around. It has the Heavy Duty F-41 sway bars that were used in the later chevelles. The power steering box has been upgraded to a newer quick ratio unit and the steering column replaced with a later floor shift tilt unit. It has a newer 4 core radiator with a fan shroud and a 6 blade aluminum fan. The heater core has been disconected but still there as the car is only driven in the Summer. The interior has been completely redone to original specs. I have new 4 speed red carpeting for the car that I havent installed as well as the correct 4 speed boot,ring and tunnel. The radio has been converted to AM-FM with digital clock and moulded spaekers in the kick pannels. The top is older and in great shape with no tears or rips. It has a new top boot-cover. The body has been repainted 20 years ago,it used to be white. The bumpers have been rechromed. The Hood is a 2" fiberglass cow linduction unit. I also have the original steel hood that is in great shape the original kick pannels and steering wheel,if you want to put it back to the original look. The floor boards are solid. They may have been patched years ago. The trunk is solid but has a couple pinholes in it. The worst part of the car is around the rear wheels,the lip area is rusting and the verry bottom of the passenger rear quarter. There is some blistering on the lower part of the trunk lid. The doors have a small pimple at the rear bottom edge but are nice shape except there appears to be a slight crease at the verry bottom of the passenger door.You cant notice it unless you get down on the ground. It has all the originall chrome that is nice but not perfect. There are a lot of new parts on the car that Im forgetting to list. This car still looks great and turns heads. If you fix the rust over the rear wheels and repaint the car you will have a nice car for years to come. I am not afaid to drive it accross country as its extremly dependable.
