I have had this car for about 2 years now and have loved it always, but reluctantly must sell it because of business slowdown (I have another vehicle, a pickup truck, not nearly as fun or as thrifty with gas, but paid off). I bought the car from a rebuilder specializing in S2000s out of Sacramento CA. It is titled "rebuilt" in Ohio (this also gets somewhat of an insurance discount). The car has been flawless for me since I bought it with 11,500 miles on it and has been serviced routinely at local Honda dealer. Although Honda claims, if I remember rightly, 20-26 mpg for this car (city/hgwy), I have averaged 26.5 mpg long-term in a mixed cycle of use--and yes, I'm always out in front of the pack and typically cruise 75-80 on local highways. There have been no "launches" of this car while in my care--the car is built for speed and will give you that without needing to be "hammered" (incidentally, I have had an AARP card for 8 years now). Interior very clean, never smoked in. Front tires look very good, maybe 70% left. Rears wear faster (and are larger than fronts) and have maybe 40-50% left. Wheels on one side have some curb rash but not gouged, not bad (see pics). No dimples anywhere in sheet metal, no stone chips on hood/front fascia, the top is flawless. Top is electric and very easy and quick, less than 10 seconds. The rear window is not vinyl like the early S2000s, but is glass and has built in defrost. The 2006 model has the larger 2.2L engine and headrest speakers. Completely stock, no mods. Honda reliability. Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) shipped this car to me in Cincinnati from the rebuilder in Sacramento for a little over $600--to give you an idea of shipping cost. The car was lightly hit in rear a couple years ago, before being rebuilt and purchased by me. The rear bumper cover, trunklid, one taillight and one rear suspension control arm were replaced--the air bags did not deploy and there was no frame damage. Car was inspected by local Honda dealership upon receipt by me and they could find nothing more needing to be done to car. I am listing the car "buy it now" for a fair price for a re-built, so you can get it for many thousands less than you'd have to pay for a car that had never been in an accident with similar miles--even though there is no functional difference between the two. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 48 hours of auction end, balance within 10 days. Business is slow for auto dealers too, and inspections are a great opportunity for them to make service business, but after thoroughly inspecting this car, driving it and looking inside outside and underneath, they can find no problems to fix.
