1947 MG TC with full history TC 3429 Built August 1947 Body 3420 A 16989 Engine XPAG 4154 Replacement engine A 51271 U K Plate JM 6711 This car is fully documented with previous owners name's and addresses from England with safety test certification from 1962 and beyond while in England. The car was brought into the United States apx. 1970. The previous owner bought this car in 1971. I also have the newspaper ad when this car was offered for sale in 1971. The previous owner has owned this car from 1971 with all receipts (1996 to present), photos, owner history, car shows and events. Here is a partial list of work done on this vehicle since 1996. 1995-1997 complete body restoration with body shop photos.They also replaced wood, steering gear assembly, wiring harness, rebuilt front & rear suspension, replaced tie rods, pitman arms, front & rear bushings, replaced wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, rebuilt shocks, removed & rebuilt master cylinder, trued 5 wheels plus more. Total cost $24,431.00 1998 New gas tank, lof & storage in heated storage space. $2073.00 1999 Complete engine rebuilt, main bearings, piston set camshaft tappet set, real oil seal pressure plate plus much more. Total cost $7944.00 2000 Battery, wheel seal, lof and storage. Total $642.00 2001 fuel line, storage. Total $732.00 2002 clutch rebuilt, tail housing, throw out bearing,clutch,storage. Total $1641.00 2003 Easy year, storage $432.00 2004 Engine rebuilt real oil seal leaking,replaced rear main seal plus more with storage. Total $1885.00 2005 lof ,storage. $546.00 2006 Four new tires, king pin bushings,storage. $2196.00 2007 storage, lof $546.00 2008 storage, lof $614.00 2009 replaced two wheels, storage, $1538.00 Grand total spent is $ 46,552.75. This person spared no expense on this car!!! Only defects on this car that I see is the driver seat has a small cut in the seat apx. 1/2 inch long. Body and paint are in excellent condition with only a chip on passenger side fender from the hood latch. On the driver side hood there is a small metal tear by the rear hinge from resting over the years above a fastener. Interior is in great shape. The carpets were replaced recently but I think on the driver side they were not cut perfectly? When you push the clutch all the way to the floor you get a growling. ( I did ask a MG mechanic and was told that it was a characteristic of mg tc's?).I don't know exact mileage.
