Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE - this car will go to the highest bidder!! 1939 Chevy Standard 4 Door hotrod/streetrod. I'd love to keep this car, but I'm out of room and also out of time to tinker. I have not owned this car a long time (most of the summer), but here's what I can tell you. It has a mild chop on the entire body (including the hood) that I can tell you the metal work on the chop is extremely well done. One of the nicest 4 door chops that I've seen. The car is lowered slightly, but not annoyingly so. The grill is new stainless steel, and has been professionally custom cut/chopped then welded and replated to match the lowered/chopped hood and front end. I took a magnet to the entire car and all of the steel is good/solid. It has a nice running plain old 350 in it hooked to a 350 tranny. The rear end, suspension and front end are all Nova. Power steering works great, but it still has drum brakes all the way around (which the front ones are very sensetive). The paint is nearly new, and even though it's "pink", it's very well done. Most of my pictures show the car as it sits being dusty, but it really shines up nice. The interior is/was obviously done by an amateur and really needs to be done over (the headliner has wrinkles, etc..). Goes right down the road as fast as you want to go and rides nice. Starts well (has a new Edelbrock carb). The instruments are new and all work well except for the gas guage (needs a sender installed in the new gas tank) and is included new in the box - just not installed. here are the things I would piddle with. The aformentioned gas sender needs installed, a new gas cap needs to be installed, the gas filler door lock needs some tweaking, the trunk needs a "hold open strut" installed, the radiator is fine with an electric fan but the car will get to the upper temps on a hot day so I planned on a newer bigger aluminum radiator. The drivers door glass is cracked and should be replaced (it's flat glass) and there is a very small crack in the right windshield (it's a small round crack on the edge and really not noticeable). I have a 100% feedback rating on Ebay and pride myself in being as up-front and honest as possible. The door handles are shaved and the remote for opening them works great. Only the front doors are remote open, the rear / suicide doors are still manual. The trunk is also remote from the glove box. The radio antenna is retractable and works excellent. There a battery master cutoff switch for the main battery which works well. It has two horns installed (the regular horn and of course the old "a-hooo-ga" horn). The heat works well with the original heater core! All electrical is great (previous owner had it all re-wired) and all lights/blinkers work fine - although the new LED's would be a good add. Overall the body and mechanicals are excellent...but there are a few things I'd do to the car. I've tried to be as honest as I can. Like I said, I sort of ended up with this car and don't know it's entire history, but I do know cars and this one is VERY solid and well done. Tinker with a few thing and you'll have a very expensive car for a very good price! I'm open to lots of trades - but here's what I'm really only interested in: Airplanes, 67 Chevelle/Camaro, 2004 or newere corvette, M3/M5/CTSV - I am open to trade up/sideways. I own the vehicle and have the clear/free title in hand. The car is sold as is/where is with no warranties implied or given. I do not know how many miles are actually on the car, but about 250 since the new speedometer/instruments were added...but that is changing constantly as I'm currently driving the car and putting miles on it. This car will sell at NO RESERVE to the highest bidder!! Please feel free to ask any questions or if you'd like to look at the car.
