I read through the manual about the safety restraint system and found this page. It might help you understand the airbag light indicator a bit better. I also found a connection that broke from the accident. It is located on one of the pulleys where the belt runs. I can't tell what it is though. Looks like some sort of solenoid or sensor. See pics.
