1979 Porsche 911sc Up for auction this beautiful Euro Spec Targa 911SC, VIN # 9119311683...this car is a true “SC”. This 911 is in great shape and it’s handling is tight and responsive... as a Porsche should be, adittionally this 911 is the lighter, faster, lower and more powerful Euopean model. The body is very presentable, the paint shows very well, though it does have some very minor imperfections here and there if you truly look hard enough. This little 911 is a great driver quality car and looks better than most newer 911s I have seen. The pictures do not do this car justice as they were taken while the skies were heavily overcast, all I can say is this: you will be hard pressed to find a nicer 911 anywhere!!! -Exterior- The body is almost completely rust free (there is a VERY small spot at the rear glass where the paint has a small bubble, but can easily be corrected). Other than the aforementioned bubble there is not a speck of rust anywhere on this car including the trunk, battery tray and floors. The car is further complimented by the original Fuch rims, H4 “Euro” lights. All the glass is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. Tires are practically brand new, with approximately 90% of the tread remaining. The targa top was recently replaced with a brand new one therefore it looks like new in and out. The only other imperfections are a crack in the right rear rubber bumperette a small tear in the front rubber molding (aka "the Porsche smile") just in front of the hood crest and a small chip just below that all of which are pictured. The underbody is in fantastic shape as you can see the pans are as solid as can be. -Interior- The interior is in excellent shape, including the seats, carpets, door panels and headliner. The dash is in mint condition with no cracks or imperfections. The rear seats are in like new condition as if they were never been used. There is working aftermarket radio installed. -Engine & Transmission- The engine runs strong starts up on the first try each and every time and burns absolutely no oil. It runs and idles as it should, with no problems. It is a great running little Porsche, always well maintained. The front suspension, along with the brake setup, have been recently replaced including tie rods, ball joints, brake pads rotors and calipers. The engine is completely dry and there are no leaks anywhere, even after sitting in the garage for a couple of weeks the garage floor is spotless. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six. The ride in this 911 is great, there are no squeaks, rattles or other unwanted noises, the car drives straight and true...there is nothing indicating this car is 30+ years old! I do not see any indication of the car ever being in an accident or damage of any kind. The original rust free body was professionally repainted several years ago to refresh the 30+ year old paint. The car is free on any liens and I have a clean title in hand, the car is ready for a new home. All federal (DOT) importation requirements have been satisfied so that this car is 100% legal to operate on U.S. roads. This 911 is in very good and in near showroom condition, I would conservatively give it an overall 8+ out of a possible 10. -Pricing- The value of this car is increasing from day to day….. In these hard economic times, when the price of stocks is so volatile, investing in the right classic car is the best and safest thing to do with your money!!!!
