Vehicle Detail
1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 Injection Coupe in very nice condition, this was my father’s car and I received it as an inheritance. The car is in very good mechanical condition, the interior is good, but the seats are rough and would need a seat cover kit. Window glass is very good no cracks or bull’s-eyes. Dash has seen sun it needs a dash pad insert. Dash and console wood is good, the knob is off passenger window crank. Paint is still glossy and cleans up well, there are some paint chips and there is a poor paint touch up job on the ding in the hood, doors, and fender, my father was color blind. There are no signs that the car has ever been hit. There is a bit of rust in the very bottom of the spare tire well, very minimal, the drivers rear tail light has a piece missing and has a electrical old school patch job, another one of my father’s fit-it jobs. All and all this Alfa is not in too bad of shape for a 37 year old car. This 2000 cc Alfa twin cam with factory Spica fuel injection is in very strong condition, starts and runs, and shifts well with the aid of the manual 5 speed. At 82,000 miles the front rotors and calipers were replaced. And the timing gears and belt were replaced, along with the addition of a electronic ignition system conversion kit; in addition a new clutch was installed and the valves were done, head cleaning, surfacing were also done with a new head gasket and water pump. This would be a great daily driver or a sound platform for a restoration there are many great Alfa shops on line and parts are still available for these Alfa’s. I have just put a new battery and new Yokohama Avid Touring S tires on the Alfa. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge and it will be sold as is. ***************************************************************************************************************************** BUYERS WITH NO FEEDBACK OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK MUST CONTACT SELLER BEFORE BIDDING!On Aug-05-10 at 21:18:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a viewer ask to see pictures of the undeside of the Alfa so I was just out taking some pictuers. I could only post one of the rear end. But if you will send me and e-mail address that will take some large photos I will send pictures of areas that I think would be problems areas for these Alfa's along with the spare tire well that has a small rust area. Thank You, Reed
