Vehicle Detail

For Sale I have my 1974 Plymouth Scamp. It was a six cylinder but now has a stock 383 Big Block out of a 69 Road Runner. The Good Stuff: It has Schumacher headers, Holley 750 carb, and a Weiland intake manifold. Behind that is a Tremic TKO 600 5 speed manual transmission from Keisler complete with hydraulic clutch and pistol grip shifter. These transmissions fit in place of the stock 4 speed but give you overdrive for hi-way cruising and they are bulletproof. Completing the drivetrain is an 8 3/4 rear with 355 gears (center section was built by Dr. Diff) it's a 489 case power lock , Housing has Yukon axles, Green bearings, and Mopar big bolt pattern B body brakes, also has new emergency brake cables. On the front are big bolt pattern Mopar disc brakes. New ball joints, tie rod ends, and front end alignment. It has subframe connectors, traction bars, and big block torsion bars. Griffin radiator, Sidewinder electric fan, MSD distributor, MSD ignition box, and MSD coil. The car has been completely rewired with a Painless fuse box and wiring harness. The lights are very bright even at idle unlike a lot of older Mopars. All gauges, gas, oil, temp, speedo, etc...are Autometer brand. Everything electrical works right down to the cigarette lighter and electric choke. The battery is in the trunk. The interior is in good shape, custom dash cluster, front bench seat has been recovered, back seat, carpet, door panels, dash, all good. Door locks work. It has a really nice cowl hood scoop, Centerline wheels, all glass is good. Grill, lights, bumpers all good. New reproduction mirrors and door handles. New tail lights and bezels. Everything mechanical except for the engine has been installed within the last 4,000 miles. That's starters, alternators, carb, brake calipers, etc... The engine came with the car and I was told was just rebuilt before I bought it so it has more than 4,000 miles. It does not smoke or have noisy valves. runs good,That's all I know about the motor. Now The Not So Good: The body has some rust bubbles around the rear wheel wells, the bottom of the passenger door, and the top of the right rear fender. There are also some chips here and there in the paint. The wind shield gasket looks a little ruff but it doesn't leak. The car was painted before I owned it over 5 years ago. Still has a very nice shine. It's a 20 footer. This was my daily driver, very dependable, drive it anywhere.
