Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1981 corvette that I have owned since 1998. I have had a lot of fun with this car, but am ready to move on. Everything that I have listed here has 10,000 miles or less on it. The engine is a balanced 383 stroker built from the original block. The engine has a Competition Cam matched to the intake manifold at 5500 rpm. Installed on/in the engine is as follows- Summit billet distributor, Barry Grant Demon Carb 650cfm, Edlebrock aluminum heads w/roller rockers, Ceramic coated big tube headers, aluminum water pump and radiator, new power steering pump, hoses, belts. Ball joints, all suspension bushings, and power assist ram/valve were replaced. The power brake assist, master cylinder, rotors, pads, calipers were replaced and stainless steel braided brake lines installed. A Lakewood bell housing, Hayes clutch assy., and Richmond 5 spd replaced the original automatic. The rear suspension has been upgraded with poly bushings, composite rear leaf spring, and adjustable control bars. The differential has new bearings installed as well as hardened axle shafts. Both rear drivelines were converted to the larger manual trans u-joints. The shocks were replaced, body mounts were replaced. New power window regulators were installed in both doors. The original glass t-tops were replaced with used OEM fiberglass units. The head lights work and rotate. Windows go up and down. There is more to list I am sure. The A/C has a slow leak and blows hot air now. The intermittent feature on the wiper switch doesn't work despite a new switch. The horn doesn't work. The power door locks are intermittent. The power up wire to the alternator has an open at the firewall. I looped the wire at the alternator so the car would be drivable for shipping. Some guys leave the loop in, I would suggest fixing the firewall connection. The interior carpeting is faded badly and the seats should be recovered. The car needs body work (see pics) and of course paint. The brakes need a final bleeding because after I installed the brake lines I just lost interest. They work, just soft. Although I had an over size exhaust and performance catalytic converter installed, this car will not pass smog as it is. Where I live it isn't necessary. There may be more problems than I listed since the car has been parked for 5 years now. I started it and drove around last week. It ran fine. I wanted, and got, a very fast, good cornering sports car. Lots of potential here. I can deliver up to 350 miles away from my house for $350. Good luck bidding! My reserve is $2800.On Aug-07-10 at 09:41:50 PDT, seller added the following information:In one of the answers that I gave I noted that the crack was on the passenger side. It is actually on the drivers side and just above the crack noted is another smaller crack. I can't tell if the smaller crack is in the fiberglass or just a paint crack. The smaller crack is approx. 1 inch long.
