Vehicle Detail
Up for sell we have a 1978 Trans Am. This car is for parts or restoration. Car has a good sub frame and a fairly decent body. This is a T Top car with a 400 CI engine and automatic transmission. Car is complete. Not sure of the condition of the engine or transmission, Untested. The key was missing and someone begain to drill out lock cylinder to unlock steering, the lights all work when in on position. The interior is in very bad condition and floor pans need replaced. Very rare car. We pruchased with thoughts of restoration but we have too many projects. Title is Clear but the person we purchsed from signed and never sent off. If you need assistance we can help with title. We have all paper work from last sell in hand. Pictured is a new unistalled windshield. Driver door glass is in good condition, we hooked battery up and rolled down to access steering wheel to move for pictures. Buyer is responsible for pick up. $200 deposit required via Paypal at end of auction and pickup within 14 days or balance paid and pickup arrangements made. Feel free to ask questions or if in area contact to see. I want to add that we CAN get the title for this car clean and clear. We purchased from a close friend and he had never sent off for the title. If car is bought for restoration and not parts we will take title to the DMV and get a clear instant title. The only reason we have not done so is because it will cost us taxes. We have no problem getting this done for the buyer if they need the title. Ok, I want to also add that I lifted the car and took pictures of the under carriage. The under pin is in great condition. All structure points are solid, chassis rails are in great condition and the inner fender wells are very good. I am going to try and post some more pictures but I have alot more than will be posted so if you need the pics then just send a question and request the pictures with your email. ThanksOn Jul-30-10 at 11:50:31 PDT, seller added the following information: I got the trunk open and its in good condition with the acception of one small area thats about 2"x2" big. The entire trunk still has the origional black factory paint, The trim of the trunk where the seal is has No rust. The tail light panel is factory paint with no rust and is solid from top to bottom seam like new. The one area is easy repair, small patch and NO other signs of damaging rust. Nice trunk for the year. If anyone wants a picture just ask, I cannot add anymore pictures to listing. On Jul-30-10 at 20:04:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been informed by a fellow Ebayer that this car is a Rare Y88 Gold Edition (Gold Bandit) We had a feeling this car was a Y88 but wasnt sure. ThanksOn Jul-31-10 at 17:40:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a picture of the cowl tag to the Photo Bucket. The tag doesnt have Y88 on it but after extensive research I have found that many of the Y88 and other various models such as the Y84 DID NOT HAVE THE INFO ON The Cowl Tag. I have read that the TA cowl tags are very unreliable to determine. You guys can research this also. Feel free to comment. On Aug-01-10 at 19:57:31 PDT, seller added the following information: If anyone wants to see a few real good pictures of the Origional Fisher Gold Tinted Y88 T Tops just let me know. I am going to try and get the picks on tomorrow. Thanks
