Vehicle Detail

1973 220 Mercedes gasoline sedan, Odometer reads 43,041 it was replaced around 100,000 miles acording to the records I have. I bought it from the original owner in 2005, it was running poorly with a miss in the engine. I put it in storage one week after buying it, ( it was to be a future project) it stayed in there until July 15th 2010. The gas tank smells like varnish so I did not try to start it, but I did a compression test on a cold dry engine - #1 - 30 / #4 - 5 / #3 - 60 / #2 - 70. Engine was rebuilt in 1989 With 15,022 on the new odometer, but that looks like a blown head gasket at best to me. Nothing leaking on ground , body is very straight and the only body work that I know of is State farm Insurance claim # 53-K174-954 which shows the rear bumber/ guard and pads were replaced and left rear qrt panel was repaired and 2.0 hrs for paint. Total bill was 2,201.00 in 1993. I have misplaced the Title and never changed it over so it is still in the original owners name. I know the original owner and if a title is required for the purchase of the vehicle I will supply one. The interior is in beautiful condition, the trunk obviously leaked and has rusted through in some places. All glass is in great shape - the windshield has a chip in it from transport on the trailer. Vacuum door locks / manual windows ps/pb automatic transmission and a/c. I drove the car onto my trailer in 2005 and that was the only time I drove it so I do not know what condition the tranny / air conditioning or brakes are in. I do have most of the service records for the car from Temple Motor Works. The car is not covered any more, it sits in my driveway in the heat and rain. I will ask that you come pick up the car. You will need a winch to load it. Not a light car. I will need 200.00 (paypal) 24 hrs after the close of the auction and the final payment when you pick up the car. Cash or check is fine.
